The corporate social responsibility of our company is an integral part of our philosophy and it has been implemented since the company’s foundation in all areas from our first employee in 1992 to the specialization and orientation to the complexity of services provided to each customer. Corporate social responsibility, as it is presented today, is a collection of activities and behavior, which in 1992-1998 was the mark of a reliable company. It is not only about making profit, but about creating a stable and well functioning firm. Such a company builds on the quality of employees and creates good working conditions for them (including pleasant working surroundings). Our firm treats its customers as business partners and gains their trust through its helpful and professional attitude. This has always been our intention.

Involvement in Charitable Activities

Our company is involved in charitable activities not only at its headquarters, but also in the regions of its branches and associates in Liberec, České Budějovice and Prague east - Přezletice.
In Přezletice, we support the table tennis youth club, the football club and the angler’s club. Our employees are also actively involved in each of these sport clubs.
Annually, we sponsor the winter golf tournament for children and youth at the Erpet center. In 2006, our company contributed financially and materially to the renovation of the Stations of the Cross and chapel in Borová Lada, near České Budějovice.
We also support charitable actions designed for particular final recipients. We have given several gifts to children’s homes; during the floods in 2002 we helped two elderly married couples whose houses were destroyed by water; we have provided other help in the regions of our activity.

Attitude on Environmental Protection

Environmental protection is one of the entrepreneurial activities for our company. One of our divisions provides design and installation of energy saving machines, particularly the installation of alternative heat resources – heat pumps.
With regards to this specialization, the attitude of the whole company and its employees regarding the environment is set accordingly. We, of course, save energy, sort waste for recycling, and strive to act ecologically. This is all covered by the certificates ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18000.

Attitude Towards our Employees from the CSR Point of View

Veskom Racing

Our company takes pride in its long-term strategy and attitude towards employees as “members of one big family”. This element of the “family company” has proved its worth and it is one of the advantages of our firm culture. Employees throughout the company and also in the individual divisions are like one big family with many common free time interests and activities (VESKOM racing team participating in the Hobby rally, cycling club, table tennis players, fishermen and also a music group). They often spend their free time together. Our company supports these interests and is proud of the success of individual employees.
We do not forget about education. We organize language classes for employees, external specialized lessons and we enable employees to participate in distance learning in addition to work.

Our company provides three additional days off for our employees to take care of personal matters and two days off during the Christmas holidays. We contribute to meals and refreshments at the workplace.

We also enable individual social help for our employees, such as financial loans for housing or the reconstruction thereof, or the possibility to borrow our firm tools and machines.

Cooperation with Young People (Students/Universities)

In the years 1992 – 1997 our activity was focused on the education of both laypersons and the professional community. That is how the cooperation began with ČVUT faculty of construction, department of technical building equipment. At first, it was an informational exchange. This cooperation proved useful and our employee lectures are included in the study program each year. Here, the students learn about the theory of heat pumps and industrial cooling, complete with practical experience.
In 2005 we began the preparation stages of the Research and Development Center of Alternative Heat Resources Application – Heat Pumps Building. ČVUT and ČZU participated in this project.
We received a grant from European funds – JPD2 for the realization of this project. This close cooperation will provide new practical educational space and a scientific workplace for graduate studies.
The cooperation with these faculties has brought us other positive results, e.g. several students have become our employees.

Attitude Towards the Quality and Transparency of the Entrepreneurial Practice

In line with the strategy of our company, all activities carried out by our firm are important for our future development in to the spirit of our motto “Quality reference and satisfied customers are fundamental for firm development”. Therefore, all information and references are open and serve to make the work of the company transparent and able to be checked independently. This is the best way to show our clients and business partners our professionalism and quality.

For our company, corporate social responsibility is one of the most important aspects for a stable and quality firm with a long-term tradition and perspective. Such a company has professional and loyal employees who are proud of the firm where they work. This attitude helps us have stable economic success and is a good prospect for its long-term perspective.
